About us
Helping at-risk youth change the direction of their lives is the heart of CDS’ mission. Guided by faith and rooted in compassion, CDS offers outreach programs, seminars, one-on-one and group mentoring, and enrichment trips/activities designed to nurture and uplift at-risk youth.
Working with young people inevitably means supporting their families, most of whom are low-income. Financial literacy seminars, technology workshops, assistance with school attire, and special holiday food baskets are some of the ways CDS supports parents, grandparents, and guardians of our target youth. Addressing the whole family unit is key to achieving and maintaining success. We believe that our investment of quality time and resources will increase the likelihood of youth and their families living productive, God-honoring lives.
Motivated by the mandates of Scripture, CDS endeavors to honor the biblical command in Hebrews 13:16, which says, “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Obedience to 1 Peter 4:10 is also foundational to the mission of CDS:
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Our Programs
Mentorship
With our mentorship program, we mentor youth with biblical principles that will help them carry them through life.
Fall Retreat
Our Fall Retreat is a way for the youth to not only connect with one another, but with the nature through activities sponsored by local nonprofits.
Summer Programs
For our Summer Programs, we partner with other local nonprofits that allow us to enrich the youth in computer and reading literacy and also expose kids to activities that will further enrich them in their lives.
Love Through Laundry
Last Saturday of every month, we will be at the local laundromat where we will provide for families to wash and dry their laundry. Our hope is to pray for people as well as get to know the community.
